WELDING INSPECTION

Welding Inspection is carrying out quality control checks and conformity evaluation of welding related matters by means of observation and judgement accompanied, as appropriate, by measurement and/or testing. Inspection and testing are done before, during and after welding. This forms part of welding coordination.

Our Welding Inspection services include, but not limited to issuing of:

Welding Procedure Specification (WPS)

A Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) is a written document describing the welding procedure, giving direction to the welder or welding operators for the purpose of making sound and quality production welds as per the code requirements

Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR)

A Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) is supported by a Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR). A WPQR is a record of the welder test piece performed and tested (more rigorously) to ensure that the procedure will produce a good weld.

Welder Qualification Test Record (WQTR)

Individual welders are certified with a qualification test documented in a Welder Qualification Test Record (WQTR). This shows that welders have the understanding of the Welding Procedure and have demonstrated the ability to work within the specified Welding Procedure Specification (WPS)

Our welding processes include, but not limited to:
MMA - Manual Metallic Arc Welding
TIG - Tungsten Inert Gas Welding
MIG - Metal Inert Gas Welding
MAG - Metal Active Gas Welding
SMAW - Submerged Arc Welding
FCAW - Flux Cored Arc Welding
